We are proud to introduce the Mixed Breed Dog DNA Identification test and the Purebred Dog DNA Certification Tests – the world’s first DNA-based tests that can establish if your dog is a true purebred or if it has a mixed-breed ancestry. Read on to find out more!

Mixed Breed DNA Identification

This DNA-based diagnostic test can give you the answer by comparing your dog's DNA to over 185 of the most popular breeds. Satisfying curiosity and having fun might be what draws you to the test at first but it’s not the only reason.

The results for your Mixed Breed DNA Identification test include an Ancestry Certificate for your Dog along with a fully personalised report. The report covers not only which breeds makeup your Dog but also shows if the breed was from a parent, grandparent or great grandparent.

Having your dog DNA tested can help to explain behaviour, helping in training and managing health.

Your dog inherits characteristics and features from his family. So, when you combine DNA from different dogs and different purebreds you end up with a unique, one-of-a-kind mixed breed dog.

By knowing which breeds are in your one-of-a-kind dog you can better understand how to support and care for him.

Your dog's coat, colour, tail and even ear sizes come from his DNA code. Did you know it could be that his behaviours such as digging, swimming or barking comes from the mix of breeds in your dog's family tree?

The DNA Breed test:

  • - Helps you understand your mixed-breed's make-up.
  • - Your customised report will provide details up to three generations back.
  • - Understanding breed composition will help explain the physical and behavioural traits present in your dog.

Knowing a Dogs Breed can help:
  • - Target behaviour training.
  • - Be smarter about nutrition.
  • - Plan exercise that supports his needs.
  • - Understand illness/conditions that certain breeds can be more prone to.

 Purebred DNA Certification

A Purebred Dog is when the sire and dam of the dog are members of a recognised breed and the ancestry consists of the same breed over many generations.

Perhaps you've purchased a purebred dog without a Kennel Club registration certificate and want to check its pedigree? Are you curious if your dog is a purebred? Do you intend to breed your dog?

The Purebred DNA-based test gives you the conclusive answer by comparing your dog's DNA to a validated Purebred breed database. A detailed report is prepared along with your Purebred Certificate.

The results for your Purebred DNA Certification test include an Ancestry Certificate for your Dog along with a fully personalised report. The confirms not only the breed(s) that are found in your Dog but also shows if an unexpected breed was from a parent, grandparent or great grandparent.

The Purebred Certification:

  • - Helps you establish a purebred dog.
  • - Your customised report will provide details up to three generations back.
  • - Any unexpected breeds will be highlighted on your certificate and in your report.
