IVH is the largest and oldest veterinary hospital in Kuwait. Since opening in 2003, we have continued with efforts on improving our team, equipment, services, and facilities. All of our Vets practice veterinary medicine based on evidence, and our aim is to adapt our standards to mirror the best European standards.
Our hospital opens seven days a week. We currently do not have an “out of hours” service, but we do have qualified staff members that take care of the recovery and boarding pets 24 hours a day.
Our team works a total of 48 hours a week & each department schedules their staff accordingly. We have a multicultural team consisting of veterinary assistants, receptionists, boarding kennel attendants, pharmacists, including other staff members and a team of over 50 all together.
We are looking for vets with experience in the following fields of small animal practice: neurology, orthopedics, internal medicine, dermatology, soft tissue surgery, and taking care of hospitalized pets. If you have a special interest in something else, we are happy to welcome your skills.
We are looking for vets, vet assistants, and animal carers with the capability of working as a team with our current vets and assistants. You must have the ability to adapt well to working with people from other cultures and also have the knowledge and confidence to work alone. We encourage our vets to meet at least once a week to discuss cases, share knowledge and experiences, as well as continuing to develop the skills of our assistants.
The salary we offer is dependent on experience. There are no taxes in Kuwait, and this means that your stated salary is exactly what you take home. All the documentation that you require for working in Kuwait will be arranged for you by our company.
As a Veterinary Doctor our team, you will also be provided accommodation (with electricity and water included), a vehicle (with all maintenance and insurance services included), as well as 30 days of annual vacation and a return economy flight to your home country once a year. There is public health in Kuwait that is included in your contract.
Now, we would like to ask some questions about you. The only purpose is to get to know you better, and helping to decide if this is the right position for you. You may not have much knowledge of Kuwait, but it can be a very good lifestyle if you take the time to understand the differences in culture and society.
